Some covers I picked up the other day:

Yesterday, on the news feed an image popped up that unfortunately caught my eye. I believe this is a business card for someone that I went to high school with. It contains a lot of awfulness, including gradients, strokes, pixelation, lack of alignment, cliches, unneeded capital words, and lack of contrast.

What are your thoughts?
*Update*
Here is something new he posted…

I was on a LOST forum earlier today and noticed that someone had made something almost identically to someone else. I called him out on it and he said:
“I said in my first post that one of mine was very similar to one of the viral posters. I never intended to claim this as my own idea, and McCarthy (a true gentleman and a scholar)’s is obviously superior and more thought out in terms of composition than mine. This is just a fun little project for me that I want to share with the Lost community, nothing more. If anyone would like a print of that particular one, I’d have to refuse, because it’s based on McCarthy’s intellectual property.”
I feel like if you’re going to undertake a creative assignment to better yourself, you can find a clever way of expressing a particular scene or episode instead of taking someone else’s design and making it appear as your own. He wants to creative a poster for every episode of the series LOST, but if you’re already copying another LOST poster on the second entry, then you may be in over your head. I understand that sometimes people can be inspired by designs and may appropriate elements or colors that touched then, but to create a duplicate is a bit much. He posts his designs on a flickr account and no where near the entry is credit given to the original artist, even though he clearly knows who the artist is. Not only is the compositional aspect very similar, both include a group of people with a speech bubble that contains French.
